In a boost to rail connectivity between South India and the Northeast, Indian Railways will introduce a new Amrit Bharat Express service between Charlapalli Railway Terminal and Kamakhya Railway Station.

The train is scheduled to commence operations on March 13, with the inaugural service departing from Kamakhya in Assam.According to railway officials, the new train will be equipped with Sleeper Class and General Second Class

coaches, making it an economical travel option for long-distance passengers.

Railway officials said the service is expected to benefit travellers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh heading towards the northeastern States.

The train will improve connectivity to Assam, which serves as a gateway to the Seven Sister States, and is likely to ease travel for pilgrims, migrant workers, and tourists travelling to the region.
