Union Home Minister Amit Shah will undertake a padayatra from Babu Jagjivan Ram statue at Nizam College to Mozamjahi Chowrasta here on November 2 as part of the Telangana BJP's campaign against the alleged false narrative by the Congress regarding the SIR exercise.
The foot march would begin at 3 pm, and Shah will address people at the Mozamjahi Chowrasta, state BJP president N Ramchander Rao told reporters here on
Friday.
Lawyers, doctors, intellectuals and thousands of party workers and people would participate in the foot march, he said. The padayatra assumes significance as it will be held a day after the Congress's public rally against alleged vote chori (vote theft) at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.
Dismissing Congress' disinformation against SIR, Rao said Karnataka Minister Satish Jarkiholi has endorsed the exercise carried out in the state.
