Union home minister Amit Shah will address two elections meetings at Jangaon and Korutla in Jagtial district and participate in a roadshow at Uppal as part of his party’s campaign.

Shah will arrive at the Begumpet airport at 12.35 pm on November 20 and head to the meeting in Jangaon. From there, he will go to Korutla by 2.45 pm and address the public meeting between 3 pm and 3.40 pm. Post that he will return to the Begumpet airport by 4.45 pm and head to Uppal by road and take part in the road show between 5.30 pm and 7 pm.

The state BJP, which is upbeat after the announcement of tribal university, turmeric board and a Chief Minister from the Backward Classes, apart from the assurance on the categorisation of

reservations for the Scheduled Castes communities, feels the visits by national leaders and big-ticket announcements is upping the ante and recharging the party’s election campaign.

This would be Shah’s second visit to the state in the last three days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in the state on November 25, 26 and 27 to give a further fillip to the campaign in the last leg before the polls on November 30.

Union minister and BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy and BJP OBC Morcha president and MP Dr K. Laxman will also participate in the public meetings. BJP Andhra Pradesh president D. Purandeswari will campaign in the Maheshwaram Assembly constituency.
