The municipal authorities are on track to complete the Uppal elevated corridor and Amberpet flyover within next two years, said Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao here on Monday.

The Uppal elevated corridor, covering a length of 6.4 km, will be constructed from Uppal to Bhagyanagar Nandanavanam, while the Amberpet flyover of 1.5 km will be built from Ramanthapur (6 junction) to Golnaka.“We are closely working with the National Highway Authority of India and soon these two projects will start. I can only urge the

farmers and land owners who lose their land to co-operate with us.

They will be compensated handsomely,” the Minister said.
The Uppal elevated corridor is estimated to cost Rs 960 crore and the project is expected to ease the flow of traffic not only in the Uppal core area but also to make life easy for commuters travelling towards Yadadri and Warangal. Of the Rs 960 crore, the State government has allocated close to Rs 330 crore only for land acquisition, while the rest is for the corridor’s construction.
