Popular film actor Allu Arjun appeared before the Nampally court virtually on Monday in connection with the case registered after the stampede at Sandhya 70 MM theatre in Chikkadpally in December 2024.

The court had earlier issued summons directing the actor to appear before it on June 22. However, Arjun’s counsel informed the court that the actor was in Mumbai for a film shoot and sought permission for him

to participate in the proceedings through video conferencing.

He would attend the next proceedings virtually and requested permission.

Following court’s permission, the actor appeared in the proceedings virtually. Of the 23 accused, 21 people appeared before the court after which the prosecution shared the charge-sheet copies with them. The court later adjourned the hearing to July 29.
