ACB recovers cash, gold in raids at sub-registrar office in Hanamkonda

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have recovered huge amounts of cash and gold and seized unregistered documents during surprise inspections at the sub-registrar office and residences of SROs here on Thursday.

In a statement on Friday, the ACB said that during the searches, 20 unauthorised agents and document writers were found present in the



office.

An unaccounted amount of Rs 47,450 was seized along with 70 unregistered documents. 

On verification of mobile phones belonging to the document writers, officials found several WhatsApp chats between SRO-I Jamalapuram Ramanarsimha Rao and SRO-II Davuluri Anand, indicating PhonePe transactions with document writers amounting to approximately Rs 42,03,125 over the past year.
