officials. As per their instructions, Gopal handed over Rs.4,000 to tahsildar Madhavi and Rs.1,000 to Dharani operator Rakesh. ACB officials rushed in and caught the two officials red-handed. In another incident, the ACB officials caught a senior assistant of the panchayat raj department while accepting a bribe of Rs.7,000 from a contractor for doing favour in the textile town of Sircilla. The senior assistant, Joginipalli Bhaskar Rao, had demanded Rs.7,000 for clearance of a bill pertaining to the construction of the compound wall to a burial ground from the contractor.
