Bhadrachalam sub-registrar Shaikh Qadeer, who has been facing corruption allegations for some time, was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday night.
A team of officials led by ACB Khammam range DSP, Y Ramesh conducted searches at the Bhadrachalam office and subsequently took him into custody. It followed
an investigation that has been ongoing for the past year.
Qadeer was accused of large-scale irregularities in land registrations during his previous tenure as the sub-registrar office of Burgampahad. Speaking to the media Ramesh informed that the ACB officials in June 2025 conducted surprise raids at Burgampahad sub-registrar office.
