Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths conducted surprise checks at the Jammikunta municipal office on Monday.
The checks were carried out following alleged irregularities in town planning, revenue administration and payment of bills to contractors.
A team of ACB officials
visited the municipal office and closed the main entrance doors, restricting the movement of officials and the public during the inspection.
Officials reportedly examined files of various departments, including town planning, revenue and other sections, as part of the ongoing verification process.
