Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested Deenu Satyanarayana, a Prohibition and Excise Inspector in Bichkunda in Kamareddy district, while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 2 lakh

The ACB officials said the Inspector accepted the bribe from the complainant at his rented house at Bichkunda for extending an official favour not to pressurise the complainant to shift toddy shops from the villages and to

refrain from registering further cases and thereby to allow the toddy shops to be operated without interference.

In addition, an unaccounted amount of Rs.45,760 was also found in the Inspector’s bag. The ACB officials said the Inspector accepted the undue advantage of Rs.2 lakh and thereby performed his public duties dishonestly and improperly. The identity of the complainant has been withheld for security reasons.
