Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) Kothagudem divisional manager, Thati Sravani was taken into custody in Visakhapatnam on Saturday by an ACB team led by ACB Khammam range DSP, Y Ramesh.

Sravani was the main accused in a bribe case the ACB registered on January 3 in the district. She demanded an amount of Rs 3.51 lakh as bribe for approving the



complainants’ bills related to cutting of approximately 3900 tonnes of eucalyptus trees at a plantation.

The corporation’s plantation manager, Thadi Rajendra Kumar of Kothagudem forest sub-division and a private person Chennam Gopala Krishna were caught red-handed while accepting the bribe at Gopala Krishna’s residence on behalf of Sravani, who went into hiding.
