An 85-year-old man who went missing after leaving home for evening prayers was traced and reunited with his family by the city police in Secunderabad.
Police said Shaik Ismail, a resident of Amberpet, had gone missing on May 22 after stepping out for Namaz.
He was later found wandering in the Chilkalguda area and taken into
protective care by the Chilkalguda Police.
As the elderly man could not initially provide complete details about his address, police conducted enquiries and later took him to the Moula Ali area, where local auto drivers helped identify him and contact his sons.
He was subsequently reunited with his family at the police station.
