70-year-old Man Swept Away After Falling Into Open Manhole in Miyapur

A man was washed away after allegedly falling into an open manhole near the Vyshalinagar Railway Underpass in Miyapur on Tuesday. 

The victim has been identified as Balayya, a resident of Prem Nagar, Hafeezpet. Soon after receiving information about the incident, teams from HYDRAA, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the Greater Hyderabad



Municipal Corporation (GHMC), and other departments rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.

According to reports, nala repair works are currently underway near the Vyshalinagar Underpass, and the manhole had been left open as part of the ongoing work. Balayya is suspected to have accidentally slipped into the open manhole and was swept away.
