Four women wearing burqas allegedly stole a gold necklace weighing around 70 grams from a jewellery shop in Zaheerabad town of Sangareddy district on Sunday. 

According to reports, four burqa-clad women and a man wearing a cap entered Jai Bhavani Jewellery shop posing as customers. They asked the shop staff to show them nose pins. While the staff



was attending to them, the women allegedly diverted their attention and stole a gold necklace before leaving the shop. 

The shop owner later noticed that the necklace was missing. Upon checking the CCTV footage, the theft came to light. The owner lodged a complaint with the police, who are examining the CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
