In a tough crackdown on food safety violations, enforcement officials operating under TG-SAFE (Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs) conducted surprise inspections at Bahar Biryani Cafe, Dilsukhnagar and detected several lapses in food quality management, triggering immediate punitive actions from the authorities.

Taking a serious note of the food safety violations, the inspection team has officially recommended that the designated officer suspend the restaurant’s FSSAI

license.

During the course of the inspections, inspectors uncovered and confiscated 50 kgs of rotten and stale meat, which included chicken, mutton, and prawns, alongside several other food ingredients that had crossed their expiry dates.

All of the seized spoiled items and expired goods were immediately destroyed on-site to prevent any health hazards to consumers.

Additionally, food samples were meticulously collected from the remaining stock and dispatched to an official laboratory for detailed analysis.
