Hyderabad: Raheja Mindspace, Madhapur, which houses over 100 IT companies, on Monday launched a unique initiative aimed at encouraging IT employees adopt ethnic handloom wear.

For the next five-days, it will host ‘IT Handloom Mela’, targeting 1.2 lakh employees with a message ‘wear handlooms and encourage the local weaver community’.

Organised by Facilities Management Council (FMC), the exhibition has an



array of Gadwal silks, Pochampally sarees, Siddipet gollabama sarees, Narayanapeta cotton, Ikkat Pattu sarees, handicraft products, handloom kurtas, bags and others in the price range of Rs 100 to Rs 17,000.

With the support of IT Electronics and Communications Department, NASSCOM, HYSEA, K Raheja Corp, Mindspace, Sunshine Hospitals, TSCO, and other corporates, it is being billed as the largest handlooms mela in the IT Corridor.
