38-year-old woman found dead in Asifabad, case booked

A woman was found dead at Rallaguda village in Dahegaon mandal on Wednesday evening.

Kagaznagar Rural Inspector Kumaraswamy said Kalavathi (38), wife of carpenter Santosh of Rallaguda, died due to a head injury at an agricultural field on the outskirts of the village. 

She was returning after visiting her son at a school in Ityala village. Women from the village who were accompanying Kalavathi said she went



towards a stream citing nature’s call and did not return.

Suspicion arose when Kalavathi failed to reach home by 8 pm, following which her family members lodged a complaint through the Dial 100 service. 

Police launched a search and traced the body around 9 pm based on the location of her mobile phone.

A case of suspicious death was registered based on a complaint from the family members.
