As many as 35 teacher unions in the State here on Thursday joined hands to launch a protest demanding the Telangana Congress government resolve their pending demands.
The unions demanded the immediate issuance of service rules as per PO-2018 and the filling of vacant posts of DEOs, deputy DEOs, and MEOs to address the ongoing crisis in the school education
sector.
The teacher bodies wanted the government to sanction new DEO posts for newly formed districts, one deputy DEO post for each assembly constituency, and MEO posts for newly created mandals.
Expressing concern over financial delays, the teacher unions’ representatives demanded the government’s immediate release of pending bills and dearness allowance arrears.
