A 34-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Chaderghat, Hyderabad, at around 9.30 pm on Friday. The deceased was identified as Tahera Bhanu, a resident of Chanchalguda.
According to reports, Tahera was working at Manha Wholesale clothing shop in Azampura. The accused, who was known to her, visited the shop on Friday evening and called her outside.
The two allegedly got into an argument, following which the accused stabbed her. According to reports, the accused had allegedly been
harassing the woman for the past few days.
Locals alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the injured woman to a nearby private hospital. However, doctors declared her brought dead. The Clues team reached the spot and collected blood samples as part of the investigation.
Police also collected CCTV footage and are making efforts to identify and trace the accused. Preliminary reports suggest that two cases had previously been registered against the accused.
