31 child labourers rescued under Operation Smile in Telangana

Kothagudem: : Superintendent of Police Dr.Vineeth G said 31 child labourers were rescued in the district as part of the 9th phase of Operation Smile.

From January 1 to 31, the district undertook Operation Smile to end child labor. As part of this effort, the Labor Department, Child Line-1098, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit



(AHTU), and the police formed five teams in the district.

Manufacturing facilities, gravel crushers, shopping malls, business complexes, brick-making facilities, and hotels all underwent inspections. Dr. Vineeth stated that during the inspections, 31 child laborers, including 22 boys and nine girls under the age of 18, were rescued.
