Around 1,841 tables were assembled with 15 tables each in 110 Assembly segments, 19 tables in seven segments in Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency and 19 tables in two segments of Medchal and LB Nagar in Malkajgiri constituency. A total 6,745 staff will be involved in the counting process. In addition 61 observers from EC will oversee the entire process. Training programmes for all staff were completed. In view of the summer, provision was made for the supply of sufficient drinking water, ORS packets and medical first-aid kits for staff.

Section 144 will be enforced near counting centres during the counting period and any victory rallies or processions will not be allowed until the final results are declared. Rajat Kumar warned that the police were instructed to initiate criminal action against those who violate Section 144 or pose threat to law and order during the counting process.
