3 Greyhounds commandos killed in Maoist landmine blast in Mulugu District

Three junior commandos of Greyhounds have been killed in a landmine explosion in Mulugu district of Telangana state, triggered by Maoists. Initial reports suggest the blast occurred when the commandos were engaged in a routine area domination exercise in the Wazeedu-Peruru forest



area of Mulugu district. 

This follows a major encounter in the Karregutta area on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border, where some Maoists were reportedly killed in a firefight with security forces.
