A 28-year-old government job aspirant died, allegedly by suicide, at Lambadithanda village in Kasipet mandal on Wednesday evening. The incident came to light on Thursday.
Police said Alishetti Harish, son of Rajaiah and a polytechnic diploma holder, resorted to the drastic step by hanging himself after locking himself inside a room when his parents were away from home at around 7 pm. His father, a mason, returned home and found Harish hanging from the
ceiling.
According to a suicide note purportedly written by Harish, the youngster was disheartened after repeatedly failing to secure a government job. He was under mental stress and ended his life. Harish was also pursuing a degree through distance education.
In the note, he stated that he wanted to take care of his parents if he secured a job but could not realise his dream.
Based on a complaint lodged by Rajaiah, the police registered a case and took up the investigation.
