24-year-old man brutally assaulted by his lovers family in Narsapur

A youngster was brutally assaulted by his lover’s family members in the Narsapur forest area on Tuesday, though the incident came to light only on Wednesday.

The victim, Dev Singh (24), a resident of a tribal thanda in Hathnoora mandal, was in a relationship with a girl from Bythol Thanda in Kandi mandal of Sangareddy district.

According to the complaint, the girl’s family members, who were strongly opposing the



relationship, forced her to make a phone call to Singh on Tuesday. 

When he arrived at Narsapur, four men from the girl’s family picked him up in a car and drove towards the Chakarimetla temple area through the Narsapur forest.

They allegedly locked the girl inside the car and took Singh deep into the forest, where they stripped him and attacked him with sticks and stones. After he fell unconscious, they fled from the spot.
