23-year-old woman found hanging in Siddipet

A 23-year-old woman, Ashwini, who was the mother of a month-old baby girl, was found hanging at her residence in Kokkanda village of Mulug mandal on Monday.

While initial reports suggested suicide, Ashwini’s parents alleged that she was murdered by her husband and in-laws, and that the death was made to appear as suicide.



Her relatives staged a protest demanding immediate action against the accused.

Tension prevailed when the protestors tried to attack Ashwini’s in-laws. Police intervened, registered a case, and brought the situation under control.

Ashwini is survived by a six-year-old son and a one-month-old daughter.
