183 Hyderabad Teachers Get Notices for Failing to Mark FRS Attendance

The district administration has issued show cause notices to 183 teachers working in government schools in Hyderabad for being absent from duty without giving prior information and registering attendance through facial recognition-based attendance system (FRS).

Following instructions from Hyderabad district Collector Priyanka Ala, the notices were issued to the teachers. In a statement, District Education Officer (DEO) Yadaiah said the



District Collector conducted surprise inspections in government schools in Old City, Secunderabad, Koti, Jubilee Hills, Khairatabad and other areas.

During the inspections, the attendance and FRS records were thoroughly examined. Although the facial recognition (FRS) system is in place for the attendance registration process of teachers, it was found that 183 teachers were absent without registering FRS in time and without any prior information.
