180 persons test positive for Swine flu

Close to 180 persons tested positive for swine flu so far in the month while seven deaths occurred from complications due to swine flue in the last fortnight, health officials said here on Friday.In January, the district health officials confirmed that 47 persons had tested positive for swine flu while five persons had died due to complications arising out of swine



flu.

While maintaining that a majority of the persons who tested positive for swine flu were able to recover, the officials said that persons with co-morbid conditions would have to be careful and take precautions from swine flu. Those with chronic conditions such as ailment of kidney, liver, heart, diabetes and hypertension should be very careful, doctors said.
