1,308 Accident Black Spots Fixed across Telangana

Telangana has 1,513 accident black spots and of them 1,308 were rectified, while 205 in various stages of completion, according to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. 

Of the total black spots, Khammam has 131 black spots, which is highest in Telangana, followed by 107 in Jagtial and 83 in Mancherial district.

Rectification works were completed in 125, 99 and 79 black spots in Khammam, Jagtial and Mancherial districts, respectively, while the



remaining were under completion.

Hyderabad has 22 black spots. Of them, rectifications have been completed at 15 places while the remaining seven were under various stages of completion. 

The Ministry has stated that 1,513 accident black spots were identified based on road accidents during 2016-18, 2018-20, 2019-21 and 2020-22 on National Highway in Telangana. The required temporary rectification measures of most accident black spots have already been completed.
