The ruling party is making elaborate arrangements to host the mega event on a grand scale with just two days left for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) plenary slated to be held in Hyderabad on April 27, 

The party leaders are going all out to ensure that the plenary would be a prelude to 2019 general elections ahead of floating a Federal Front for qualitative change in national politics.

GBR Cultural Association Gardens, the venue at Kompally, is being painted in pink with banners, hoardings and also cut-outs of prominent leaders, to mark the party’s 17th anniversary. Around 13,000 delegates from 119 Assembly constituencies of the State and 100 delegates from 20 nations, are expected for the day-long plenary. Special arrangements were being made for VIPs and women delegates.

Sources said the party plenary resolutions committee headed by Parliamentary Party leader K Keshav Rao prepared a set of about nine resolutions comprising the party’s national agenda for qualitative change, federal system in the country, development and welfare activities in Telangana State among others. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao reportedly entrusted the job of moving and passing resolutions to party senior leaders and elected



representatives.

Nearly 90 acres are being used for hosting the plenary where nine acres will be used for the delegates’ session along with food courts and other amenities. The remaining 80 acres have been exclusively earmarked for vehicle parking.

Elaborate arrangments have been made to ensure minimal disturbance for public travelling along the stretch between Suchitra circle and Kompally junction on NH-44. The delegates will be treated to around 25 varieties of Telangana delicacies during the lunch at the venue.

Reviewing arrangements at the venue on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mohd Mahmood Ali said people from various parts of the country were lauding the KCR government for its initiaves in development and welfare.

“The plenary will reflect the aspirations of people in the country as the Chief Minister will make announcements about the party’s national role,” he said.

Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy pointed out that many people ridiculed formation of TRS but the party proved them wrong by achieving seperate statehood for Telangana under the leadership of K Chandrashekhar Rao.
