Vidyanagar Residents Seek GHMC Action Over Monkey Menace

The monkey menace in the city continues, with a fresh attack on a woman reported from Vidyanagar colony on Wednesday. 

A troop of monkeys entered the residential colony and suddenly attacked the woman who was standing outside, leaving her with severe injuries. 

Locals rushed the bleeding victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. The simian menace has been a common problem in central areas



of Hyderabad, including Nallakunta, Domalguda, Vidyanagar, and Barkatpura, over the past few years. 

Monkeys in large groups, have been frequenting these areas in the recent past, turning violent and attacking residents.

Colony residents are demanding immediate intervention by the GHMC and Forest Department officials and have the monkeys captured and relocated to forest habitats.
