Police use lathi-charge in Osmania University following protests over student's suicide.

A video showing Hyderabad police allegedly assaulting students with lathis at the Osmania University campus has gone viral on social media. 

The video shows a group of students in a room with loud banging on the door from outside. Suddenly, the



room’s door is kicked down and a group of policemen wearing protective vests and helmets burst into the room using lathis on the students before taking them away.

This incident occurred following a 21-year-old student’s suicide at the campus hostel on Sunday. The student, E Murali was found hanging in the bathroom of the University’s Maneru Hostel.
