TRS senior leader and former MLA Chekuri Kashaiah passed away at a private hospital in Khammam on Tuesday morning. He was 86 and was reportedly undergoing treatment for cancer.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed grief over the death of former MLA and erstwhile Khammam Zilla Parishad former chairman Chekuri Kashaiah. He termed



Chekuri Kashaiah as a freedom fighter, selfless and progressive politician from Telangana who made his mark in Khammam district politics. He lamented that the State had lost a senior and honest politician with the death of Kashaiah. He extended his deepest condolences to the family members of the late legislator.
