K Anderson and Rafael Nadal have a set up a title clash of the men's singles, winning their respective matches this morning. South African Anderson defeated P. Carreño Busta of Spain while Nadal beat Argentenian J. del Potro.

In the women's singles, the all American Final has been set up between Sloane Stephens and Madison Keys. Sloane stunned Venus Williams, while Keys defeated Coco Vandeweghe in the semifinal yesterday.

Indian campaign in the tournament ended with Sania Mirza and her Chinese partner



Peng Shuai knocked out of the US Open in the semi-final of the women’s doubles. They were defeated by the Swiss-Taiwanese duo of Martina Hingis and Chan Yung-Jan 6-4, 6-4 in a gruelling two-hour quarterfinal. With Sania’s loss, the Indian challenge ended in the tournament.

Hingis, who won the 2015 US Open women’s doubles title with Sania, will now play the winner of the other semi-final Lucie Hradecká-Kateřina Siniaková of Czech Republic.
