India enjoyed another productive day at the Thailand Open as two-time Olympic medallist P. V. Sindhu and the star men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty advanced to the quarter-finals with commanding victories on Thursday.
World No. 12 Sindhu continued her impressive run in the tournament with a clinical 21-13, 21-15 win over Denmark's Amalie Schulz in just 28
minutes. The former world champion looked in complete control throughout the contest, using her sharp movement, steep smashes and attacking intent to dominate long rallies and keep the Dane under constant pressure.
Sindhu, who had opened her campaign with a convincing 21-9, 21-12 victory over Chinese Taipei's Tung Ciou-Tong, has now reached the last eight without dropping a game.
