Former world No. 1 shuttler Kidambi Srikanth, along with rising stars Anmol Kharb and Unnati Hooda, will lead India’s campaign at the Taipei Open 2025 tournament, starting today in Chinese Taipei.

Srikanth, currently ranked 61st in men’s singles, has had a tough season, with only one quarter-final appearance from six outings.

India’s top-ranked men’s singles player at the tournament will be world No. 44 Ayush Shetty, with Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy opting out.

In the absence of PV Sindhu in the



women’s singles, world No. 42 Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj will be the top-ranked Indian women’s player, joined by teenage talents Unnati Hooda and Anmol Kharb.

Aakarshi Kashyap is also in the fray and will open her campaign against Hung Yi-Ting.

In women’s doubles, Rashmi Ganesh and Sania Sikkandar will be in action as well.

However, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, the men’s doubles stars, will not be participating in this tournament.
