Top ranked Indian shuttlers, Saina Nehwal, K. Srikanth suffered a shock second round defeat, men's pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy also made an exit, while PV Sindhu prevailed to be the lone Indian in the Denmark Open Badminton tournament.

In the women's singles yesterday, world number one Saina lost 18-21, 13-21 to unseeded Minatsu Mitani of Japan. Other Indian in the event, PV Sindhu defeated third seeded Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei 21-12, 21-15 to enter the



quarter-finals. 13th ranked Sindhu, will be facing 6th seeded Yihan Wang of China in the last-8 battle today.

Currently ranked 5th in the world, K Srikanth, lost to Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia 15-21, 17-21 in the men's singles second round. Earlier, P Kashyap and HS Prannoy had lost their matches opening round matches. Top Indian men's doubles pair of Manu and Sumeeth, also went down 19-21, 22-20, 19-21 to Lee Sheng Mu and Tsai Chia Hsin of Chinese Taipei.
