Singapore: In Badminton, ace Indian shuttler P. V. Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and H. S. Prannoy yesterday advanced to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Singapore Open Tournament. Indian Olympic medalist P. V. Sindhu defeated Vietnam's Nguyen Thuy Linh in the second round of the women's singles category by 19-21, 21-19, 21-18 and reached the quarterfinals. 

Nehwal defeated China's Bing Jiao in the second round of the women's singles



category by 21-19, 11-21, 21-17. H. S. Prannoy also defeated Taiwan's chou Tien-chen by 21-14, 20-22, 18-21 and entered the quarterfinals.

In the men's doubles category, the Indian duo of Arjun M. R. and Dhruv Kapila won their second-round match against the Malaysian duo of Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin by 18-21, 21-19, 21-18 and confirmed their slot in the quarterfinals.
