New York: In US Open Tennis, 23rd seed Nick Kyrgios stunned Defending Champion and top seed Daniil Medvedev to enter the men's singles quarter-final for the first time.

The 27-year-old Australian will now face another Russian, Karen Khachanov in the last eight clash tomorrow. Khachanov reached his third Grand Slam quarter-final defeating 12th seed Spanish Pablo Carreno Busta.

Ninth seed Russian Andrey Rublev knocked out seventh seeded Britain's Cameron Norrie to reach in the quarter-finals.

America's Frances Tiafoe beat 22nd time grand slam champion Rafael Nadal in the



third round of the US Open men's singles draw.

In the Women's Singles, Tunisia's Ons Jabeur advanced to the quarter-finals for the first time with a victory over Russian Veronika Kudermetova. Jabeur will face unseeded Australian Ajla Tomljanovic in the quarterfinal today, who ended the career of Serena Williams in the third round. Eighth seeded American Jessica will face Polish top seeded player Iga Swiatek.

Meanwhile, world number one Swiatek survived a slow start to knock off unseeded Germany player Jule Niemeier 0 to reach in the last eight.
