Men's Hockey World Cup: Australia records comprehensive 11-0 win against China

Australia annihilated China 11-nil in the final Pool B match of the  Men's Hockey World Cup 2018 , in Bhubaneswar yesterday. Black Govers scored a hat trick . 

The Aussies fell short of their own World Cup record of 12- nil win against South Africa in 2010.  With this victory, Australia tops Pool B with 3 wins and 9 points.

Australia has already booked a place in the quarter-finals when they routed England 3-nil in the second match. China ended winless in all the three games it played.

In the  other last Pool B match yesterday,  England beat Ireland 4-2.



With this win, England with 4 points from 2 wins in 3 matches, is placed second in the table.

Today India will take on Canada in their final Pool C match of the men's hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar. 

The hosts would now look for a convincing win against Canada and maintain the top spot to earn a direct qualification to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Indian team has been unbeaten so far in their group. The match will start at 7 PM. 

In another encounter of the day, Belgium will clash with South Africa at 5 PM.
