Seoul: In Badminton, Indian Men's Doubles pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of the Korea Open yesterday. The third-seeded duo defeated Thailand's combination of Supak Jomkoh and Kittinupong Kedren in straight games 21-16, 21-14 in the Round of 32.

Satwik and Chirag were the only Indians to register a victory on the first day of the BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament.

The world record attempts were achieved on the 14th of April this year and were verified by official judges from the Guinness world records based on the speed measurement results from that day.

Satwik’s smash was conducted in a controlled environment at the Yonex factory gymnasium at Soka, Saitama in Japan.
