Paris: In the French Open Badminton tournament, Kidambi Srikanth, Sameer Verma and HS Prannoy advanced to the men's singles second round last night.

Ace Indian shuttler Srikanth beat junior compatriot Lakshya Sen 21-18, 21-18. Verma registered a win over sixth-seeded Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia 21-15 21-23 22-2. HS Prannoy beat Liew Daren of Malaysia 21-16 16-21 21-16.

Srikanth will face 12th-seeded Rasmus Gemke of Denmark. The match will start at 06.10 pm Indian Standard Time. While, unseeded Sameer Verma will face 10th-seeded Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand at 07.50 pm Indian Time.

In the Mens' doubles category, Indian pair of M R Arjun and Dhruv Kapila lost to the fifth-seeded Indonesian duo of Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardiant 15-21 16-21 in the first round.
