Istanbul: Para-Athlete Chandeep Singh has created history by clinching a Silver medal in the Men's plus 80 kg event at the 9th Para World Taekwondo Championships at Istanbul in Turkey on Sunday. This is India's first ever medal in the history of Para Taekwondo World Championship.

Chandeep is also the first Para Athlete from Jammu and Kashmir to achieve such a feat at



World level. He trained under Taekwondo Coach in J&K Sports Council, Atul Pangotra.

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan has congratulated Chandeep Singh for the feat. Secretary in Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull has also congratulated Chandeep Singh and assured all logistic and possible help to him in his future endevours.
