South Korea's Hyeon Chung continued his dream run in the Australian Open, stunning former world number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia 7-6, 7-5, 7-6 and reach a Grand Slam quarter-final for the first time in his career. Chung also became the first Korean to reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament.

For a place in the semi-finals, Chung will now take on the United States' Tennys Sandgren, who will also be making his debut in a Grand Slam quarter-final.Sandgren beat fifth-seed Dominic Thiem of Austria 6-2, 4-6, 7-6, 6-7 and 6-3.

Defending champion Roger Federer eased through to the Australian Open quarter-finals with a straight-set win over Hungary's Marton Fucsovics



6-4, 7-6, 6-2. He will now play fellow veteran Tomas Berdych, a semi-finalist in 2014 and 2015.In today's matches, Grigor Dimitrov will take on Kyle Edmund while Rafael Nadal to meet Marin Cilic. 

In Women's singles, world number one Simona Halep defeated Japanese star Naomi Osaka and entered into the Australian Open quarter-finals with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Halep will play sixth seed Karolina Pliskova. 

Germany's Angelique Kerber is the only Grand Slam champion left among the women.After crushing Maria Sharapova in the last round, she came up against gritty Taiwanese veteran Hsieh Su-Wei. She will now clash against American Madison Keys.
