PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal are leading the Indian challenge in the prestigious All England Open Championships being held at Birmingham. In the women's singles event, Rio Olympic Silver medalist Sindhu has been given the 6th seed, while London Olympic Bronze medalist has attained the 8th seed. 
In the first round game today, Sindhu will face unseeded Danish player Mette Poulsen, on the other hand Nehwal will take on the defending champion Nozomi Okuhara from Japan.
In the men's singles event, Ajay Jayaram, HS Prannoy



and K Srikanth will be playing their first round games today. Where Jayaram will face Huang Yuxiang from China, Prannoy will take on Chinese player Qiao Bin and Srikanth will meet another Chinese qualifier Zhao Junpeng.
In the doubles event, one Indian pair each in the Men's, Women's and Mixed event will be in action today. Mannu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy in men's, Jakkampudi Meghana and Poorvisha Ram in women's and Pranav Chopra and Sikki Reddy in the mixed doubles are the pair vying out for top spots.
