India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty's magical run at the Denmark Open came to an end on Saturday, October 18 in the semi-finals. The Indian duo lost after putting up a valiant effort against Japan’s Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi. The Asian Games champions, who reached back-to-back finals at the Hong Kong Super 500 and China Masters Super 750, showed great resilience to
bounce back after losing the first game.
However, Satwik-Chirag faded away towards the final stages of the decider and lost the match 21-23, 21-18, 16-21 against Hoki and Kobayashi in a 68-minute contest that was filled with lightning-fast exchanges and sharp rallies. With the exit of the star duo, India's challenge at the Denmark Open came to an end.
