In the 75th Santosh Trophy Football Championship, hosts Kerala scored twice in the last ten minutes to beat West Bengal 2-0 at Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri last night.

PN Noufal broke the deadlock in the 84th minute, while Jesin made sure of the victory with a goal in added time.

Now Kerala moves to the top of the points table with six points with two wins in as many matches. The top two teams from the group will go through to the semifinals at the end of this stage.

Earlier yesterday, Meghalaya defeated Rajasthan 3-2 at the



Kottappady Football Stadium in Malappuram, Kerala. Rajasthan scored the first goal through Youraj in just the second minute. Meghalaya's Figo Syndai scored twice in the 25th and 38th minute. However, Rajasthan found the equalizer through Imran Khan in the 56th minute. The decider came when Meghalaya captain Nongbri converted a penalty to make the score 3-2.

Today, Gujarat will take on reigning champions Services at Kottapady Stadium at 4 pm, while Odisha will meet Manipur in the second match at Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri at 8 pm.
