India's campaign at the Thailand Masters badminton tournament ended in Bangkok yesterday with the defeat of ace shuttler Saina Nehwal.

The fifth seeded Saina lost to unseeded Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt of Denmark 13-21 ,21-17, 15-21 in a hard fought 47-minute contest.

This was Saina's  second consecutive opening



round defeat. Saina had also lost in the opening round of the Indonesia Masters last week after entering the quarterfinals in the Malaysia Masters last month.  

In the men's singles, the trio of Kidambi Srikanth, Sameer Verma and H S Prannoy, too, faltered in the first round yesterday.
