PV Sindhu beats Ratchanok Intanon, enters Hong Kong Open finals

PV Sindhu was in sublime form as she defeated former World Badminton Champion Ratchanok Intanon in straight games to enter the final of women's singles at the $400,000 Hong Kong Open Superseries on Saturday.

In the battle of the 22-year-olds, it was the Indian who came out on top as she won 21-17, 21-17 in 43 minutes at the



Hong Kong Coliseum. This was the Rio Olympics silver medallist's only second win in six meetings against the Thai girl.

World No.3 Sindhu will next take on World No.1 and top seed Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in the summit clash. It will be a repeat of last year's final when Tai emerged victorious in straight games.
