Rio Olympic Silver medallist PV Sindhu won her first round match of the Denmark Open Superseries last night. Sindhu defeated China's He Bingjiao 21-14, 21-19. The 21-year-old Indian will now face Sayaka Sato of Japan in the second round of the superseries. 
HS Prannoy and Ajay Jayaram also advance to second round in the Men's



Singles event. In the first round, while Prannoy defeated Malaysian qualifier Wei Feng Chong, Ajay cruised to the next round beating Thailand's Boonsak Ponsana. Sai Praneeth, however, made an exit with his first round loss.In the men's doubles section, it was curtains for the duo Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy in the first round.
