In Hong Kong Open Super Series badminton tournament, Second seed PV Sindhu will be up against fifth seed Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the quarterfinals today. 

Sindhu defeated Japan’s Aya Ohori 21-14, 21-17 in a second-round match lasting 39 minutes. It was Sindhu’s third win



over the Japanese in as many meetings.Right from the start, Sindhu looked lethal and played aggressively to outplay her opponent in straight games. 

Sindhu is India's lone survivor in the tournament after Saina Nehwal and H.S Prannoy crashed out yesterday.
